relocated for retirement. We need to know what their occupation and
community involvement was in their old home and same for the new. We also
need to know why they relocated and whether they made money on the
relocation. In other words, did they sell their house and buy a new home
for less money. Finally, what made them choose the new location?

How to Pitch!

Last night I went to Chris Abbotts book signing for her book, how to pitch from Tall Fellow Press. It was really good. It was for people who are trying to sell their movie or tv show to execs. It was about what to say when you get in the room. Terry Scott met us down there. Kevin ( my director) and I got the book. I'm going to try and book Chris for the show, but she doesnt live in California so it's all about timing. But the bottom line is you gotta write! ( and I have to write more!)
But it was fun.

Tuesday is the Day!

Well, Tuesday we tape the mothers day special. Everything is in place and it will be a great show. It is a sold out event so if you missed it, be sure to get on the mailing list for next year. Oprah is selling her house in Santa Barbara, the press will have a field day with that. I thought she really liked California but they say she has 20 acres in Maui that she prefers. I can dig it!

I met a fellow BellaOnline editor, she has a cool blog, called the Mobile Spa
Check it out!, she has how to make perfume on the blog! I am totally stoked! You know I am going to make myself some perfume now. For those of you who dont know, even though I am not into cooking, I make excellent home made vanilla ( only the best vanilla beans and vodka) and I make home made detergent. I know that sound weird but I like adding my own scents to my detergent and by default my clothes. I also make excellent dog biscuits but normallly at christmas and them have my dog give them to other peoples dogs.

speaking of dogs, I didint get one yet, but I am talking with a rescue mission about an older dog so we'll see. I think the perfect dog will come along, I am looking for a smart older dog, house trained, crate trained, basic social skills,likes children, like longs walks in the woods, has a good job, no... scratch the last thing, it is just a dog after all. I am not ready for a puppy in my life, I know that.

Jazz Night at One Miracle 911

Wow, a sold out event, there was standing room only! Retha Jones comedy was really good too! All new material too! LOL!
Paul Jackson Jr with Scott Wilke, Greg Adams and Denise Williams closed the night down.
It was a fundraiser event for One Miracle 911 and a nice evening. I think its coming to the IE next year.

Red Carpet at Vagina Monologues

Thursday night I was media on the red carpet for Vagina Monologs in Los Angeles. It was my first time and It was fun. I met some great people around me and they were doing Killer interview! Shout out to David Wilson and Fred Thomas from Bad Burrito I will have to credit them on the show too.

I got a quick interview with Terri Hatcher,Dwayne Adway and Erika Alexander,TC Carter, Isis McKenzy- she was my first interview! She looked lovely and made for the red carpet! GOOO girl! I talked to the African American Fanta girl ( dont cha wanta Fanta Fanta!
Isis Mackenzy is Miss Black California and from Rancho Cucamonga!

It was kinda funny listening to Marla Gibbs tell us she has a vagina and her daughter has a vagina!

Most of the stars did the tag line, you're in the Wright Place, they were really getting into it. Then the shows around me started asking them to do their tag lines. So by teh end of the evening, it was like I'm so and so and tag line, I'm so and so and you're in the Wright Place, I'm so and so tag line.

I had a great time! Andre Berry worked camera for me- Its cool to have the tallest camera man there!

Kick butt conference

Gosh, I havent blogged in a while, so I am going to get everything in and catch up!
Saturday- Women CEO network conference was awesome. We had Jill Lubin author of Networking Magic and the Guerilla PR best sellers teach how to effectively network. Lisa Cherney talked about how to create a board of directors! Dr. Truvillion explained how to Step into your Greatness, Adam Urbanski gave solid marketing information. I want to thank Jill, Lisa, Adam and Dr. T for staying until the end- when I spoke.

Really I had a blast but I missed the SPA afterwards, not next year! I will be ready!

I taught my Pr class for Inland Empire women's Business center last week also. Attended a major supplier meeting and today, spent all day with calls from sponsors of the mothers day show. All I can say is it gets better and better.

Update on the $10,000 makeover, Barbara King let me know that they are putting it on the back burner, I dont ahve any details, but if you actually entered, nothing is going to happen with that. Sorry-

Raining in So Cal

I live in southern california and its raining this morning like someone turned on the faucet for a bath. I am not going to look at the news and watch anymore houses slide down a hill. It's a great time to stay in and write and cook and be domestic.

Anyone one who is an expert on concrete and mudslides will get a lot of publicity if they contact authorities and tell them what to do.

also, I was listening to the radio and a host was trying to call Fawn ( a mountain town) and ask about snow. No one picked up the phone and asked anyone from the mountain communities to call and tell him about snow 'up there" this would have been a perfect opp for anyone up there with a business to call in. You call can say HI- I'mm so and so from Mountain Burger stand, we are located at blah blah blah and we have snow.
