The saga starts with my buying an book online. I orderd the book as a downloadable file, it comes as a .EDT file
EDT?? what is that? Where is my PDF book?? Even my computer doesnt know what
is is and I figure I should call and see what is going on.
I call for help ( call number one- keep track)
and tell them, they look and the system and say,
something is wrong and they will but in an order to fix it.
I hang up.
But I have a funny feeling and a few hours later I call.
Call #2: I am calling because I have been unable to download by
digital book. She says, someone took a call from you but did
not order anyone to do anything about it, She will ask that
department to look into it.
I get an email saying I can download my book now, but its still an EDT
file so, I really cant.
Call #3: I cant download the book, its been 3 days, She says I
must wait 24 hours to 48 hours for an answer from their IT department
CAll #4: I get an email saying I have to 48 hours from TODAY FOR THE
IT Department to fix this problem. I call and tell them I want a refund
forget the book, it doesnt work and clearly you cant fix it
The next day I get an email saying, since it was a digital product
and I already downloaded it, it will take 7-10 BUSINESS
DAYS to refund my $14.97
HERE IS the actual LEtter!

I call AGAIN and say look
IT DOES NOT WORK
why do you need 7-10 business days
to refund my money, I know you want to float
funds but GEEZZ!!
This is not acceptable
This rep apologizes and says it wont take that
long and she is sorry adn will send me a gift certificate
IF THEY think I am spending another dime with them
in 2006 they are crazy
All these phone calls,
no book and worst of all
each call take 5 minutes of a spanish inquisition
to get every life details so that they can verify
its really you. With people who can not understand
my particular speech patterns and ask me to repeat myself
5 times with each answer.
Amazon _ You suck at customer service and
you wont be serving me anytime soon!
