I am reading Radical Careering

This is a cool new book for people who want
to love their work. If you hate your job, this
book will help you get to where you want to
be. If you like your job, there are insights on
how to LOVE your job.

It's kind written like Tom Peters stuff
you know- get up off your butt and do
something. I just started the book, so I am
not trying to do an entire review here.

Its just that I love meeting people who love their
jobs. Even if they are just a sanitation worker,
a person who loves their job, does it like its art.
Plus they are fun to be around, they can almost
convince YOU to like their job.

When you meet those surly people who hate their
jobs and hate you for 'making' then do their jobs,
its just a horrible experience all around.

The Season is starting off with shows about the
Business Opportunity Expo in Orange county, which is
brought to you by the same people who created
the Business Women's Series.

This happens Nov 19th, and is great for people
still deciding on what they want to do when they
start their own business. There will be seminars

The Aflac Duck

Yesterday I was at the WLE conference. One of the workshops I attended was with the guy who created the AFLAC duck campaign. His interactive workshop included some power point pictures and video to illustrate his points. He didnt do the boring thing where you
read your entire power point to people who can see it and are sitting there reading it with you. He has a new book out called Bang, and he gave us an excercise on how to create bang. It was fun, hats off to my 'business partners'- we created Creative Drinking- a business services company and our tag line was

I gave the blog a make over. Maybe because its summer but that pink
